Tape Drive Issue
Hi,
I have an issue with the Compaq Tape Library which is connected to a tru64 machine. There are 2 drives in the library, both of them were working fine previously. But now, the drive is not getting detected by the server.
Attached is the hwmgr -view devices output, which shows only a DLT drive which is present in the server itself but not the other two drives.
Kindly Suggest!!
Thanks in Advance
Sridhar

Re: Tape Drive Issue
Hi,
How is the tape library connected ?
I'll take a guess that it's connected to an MDR (Modular Data Router) that sits on the SAN. These have a habit of getting disconnected. If it is an MDR, try power cycling it, then do a "hwmgr scan scsi".
Hope this helps,
Regards,
Rob
