Hi I have a machine ES40 running tru64 version 5.1B-3 I installed it on august 2006. I patch the machine .
It have frequently panic cpu0 . It contain 2 cpus, I have change both cpus , the mother board, and the problem continue.
There is some recent patch or patch kit for this version of OS,
Somebody have had similar experiences?
Thank you

Re: Tru64 5.1B-3 frequently panic cpu0
More information about crash data would be usefull.
However, I had simular situation few times. The problem was bad memory.
First I would suggest to reinsert all DIMMs.
Then I would wait till next crash. After that I would do memory tests:
>>> memexer 3
Memory tests can run few hours.
Did you find something interesting in eror log?

Install WEBES and configure CCAT. This tools will help you to identify the source of the problem.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

Re: Tru64 5.1B-3 frequently panic cpu0
William,
look into the crash-data.n file and give the panic string and if possible attach the crash-data file, so that we can see the sequence events carried out before the system crash.
