Tru64 Fibre Channel available slots
Dear Gurus,
Is there any command to let you see whether is there any available slots for fibre channel card beside looking at the physical servers?
Btw we are using Tru64 5.1B on Alpha Server GS1280

Re: Tru64 Fibre Channel available slots
Hi,
You should be able to look at the hardware using:
# hwmgr view hier
This will give you a breakdown of what's on each PCI bus, however you'll need to know how things are physically configured to be able to determine if you've got spare slots...
There are quite a few different ways of configuring I/O in a GS1280.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: Tru64 Fibre Channel available slots
Do you know what the hardware configuration is ?
Without knowing how many system drawers and I/O expansion drawers you have, it would be very difficult to say if there are any free slots...
You might be able to get more information from the MBM console though...
Cheers,
Rob
