Hello.

On a Tru64 5.1A, is there any possibility to move a tape with mt (or other command) to the end-of-medium ?

$ mt -f seod

From man page..

seod
Space to end of recorded data. Currently, this command is only sup-
ported in the SCSI/CAM tape driver. Not all SCSI tape drives support
this functionality.
