Tru64 remote deployment

I am trying to set up a server to deploy Tru64 to other work stations just for testing purposes. When we have a workstation loose a drive or if there are issues with the NIC or FDDI, We could do the down load of the OS and check all areas of concern. Is there a script or way I can do this? Any help would be appreciated.
Thanks Jim Garza

Re: Tru64 remote deployment

Jim,

Do you like to monitor NIC/FDDI and other network components? If this is case, then you can try any network monitoring utilities available in the net.

Re: Tru64 remote deployment

What I would like to do is be able to hook up a cross over cable or a straight cable and or set up a hub to a server with a load of Tru64 to be able to do a down load of the Tru64 OS to a work station.
Any ideas?

Thanks

Re: Tru64 remote deployment

Have you looked into RIS (Remote Installation Services) which is part of Tru64? There's a man page for it and related commands/files and it's fully covered in the Tru64 Installation Guide - Advanced Topics document.
