XP1000 restarting

I have XP1000 system with tru64 unix 4.0,,
the system restarting by itself looping,
i try to run on Singel user mode to reinstall the but can't.
how can i boot from CD-Rom?

What, exactly, did you do? What, exactly,
hgappened when you did it?

Halt it, "show device" to identify the CD-ROM
drive, then "boot dqa0" or "boot dka600", or
whatever.

I try to restore the / from the tape.
but the / dumped from other system. and tried to restore all files and directories.
so maybe some exist unix file system replaced.
moreover, now can't boot from CD, becouse the system restart again and again and I can't interrupted.
