adding a new harddisk on a different port to existing harddisk

I have two raidsets installed in RA8000 on which i have Digital unix4.0f installed.My existing raidsets R1 & R2 contains four harddisks each .One port of raidset R1 is giving problem.I have changed two new harddisks but the problem is same.Now i want to change the new harddisk & put it in a new port.How can i add this new harddisk to raidset R1.Please give the commands also.Regards

This looks like more of SAN Storage question. Also please give more information reagrding your systems configuration.
What do you mean by port?, What king of problems you are having...etc.

Please provide the detailed setup you are having so that we will understand your problem clearly. What do you mean by port of the raid R1 do you want to say port of the Raid controller( HSG80/ HSZ70 etc) ? or you mean to say one partition of raidset ? Also I wonder how you have installed Digital Unix 4.0F on the raidset ? or you mean to say some filesystems are there on the raidset but not OS ( / , /usr and /var) ?
