Re: adding space
If you want to add space to an existing domain, then you need to use addvol. This command requires the ADVFS-UTILITIES license.
# lmf list
will tell you if that is installed.
Cheers,
Rob

Re: adding space
- if you want to add space from another disk to this advfsd domain than you'll need the license.
you also need the license if you want to use the advfs utilities GUI.
- if you got a free partition on the same disk/volume then you can add this to the domain without a license, using command line.
- if you are using a storage-system (MSA EVA ...) you may increase the size of the disk/volume on the storage system.
the OS may need a rescan/remount of the disks to recognize the additional space of the disk.
(or reboot if it is the systemdisk)
Then you can add the extra space to the domain.
look at this document using a HSG80 storage system (MSA like)

Re: adding space
If I recall correctly, the -o extend option to mount also requires the ADVFS-UTILITIES license.
I remember a conversation with sales not longer after getting an EVA because we'd been told that we wouldn't need the license due to the LUN expansion facilities, when in fact we did...
Cheers,
Rob

Re: adding space
Can't easily check this myself on our systems (all production), so I'll wait for Khalids response.
