cpq_mibs process running wild
Hey all, looking at our Tru64 boxes recently, we've noticed that the cpq_mibs process (part of snmp monitoring) seems to take up every bit of CPU that it can get its hands on. Is that normal operating procedure? The cpq_mibs process sits in CPU unless something else comes along? Strange behavior, if so.
Thanks!
Thanks!

Re: cpq_mibs process running wild
Have you noticed something in syslog file?
Have to try to restart the process?
BR,
Kapil

Re: cpq_mibs process running wild
I did restart snmp; the process comes back and immediately takes up as much CPU time as it can.
There's nothing in /var/adm/messages about it at all.

Re: cpq_mibs process running wild
Have you checked out /var/adm/syslog.dated/current/daemon.log ?
Or maybe the other files in that directory...
They may give some clues.
Cheers,
Rob
