http://h30097.www3.hp.com/docs/pub_page/V40F_DOCS.HTM#adm_docs

At this point it starts to get useless. I'd
try complaining to HP, or looking at the
material for a later version, and hoping for
some of it to exist, and to be true on your
older version.

Re: help for dec 4F Need to create a file system

Hi,

You create an AdvFS file system with mkfdmn and mkfset.

# mkfdmn /dev/rzNp
# mkfset

# mount #

where N is the disk number, determined by the SCSI Bus Target and LUN and p is the partition on the disk.

You'll probably also need to look at the existing disk layout with

# disklabel -r rzN

To grow an AdvFS file system, then you can use addvol, assuming you've installed an AdvFS Advanced Utilities license. Check with

# lmf list

Hope this helps,

Regards,

Re: help for dec 4F Need to create a file system

Hi,

Firstly you need to identify what device to use for the "other" disk.

Can you post the output of this command:

# scu show edt

Cheers,

Re: help for dec 4F Need to create a file system

OK... Assuming that your boot disk is rz0, then you have another 4 disks in the machine.

The disklabels for each of those disks should hopefully give you an indication of which partitions were being used, so post the output of:

# disklabel -r rz1
# disklabel -r rz2
# disklabel -r rz3
# disklabel -r rz5

Cheers,
