how do i get my License details for Alpha ES45 server.

Hi,

As per the man page for lmf, the license databases are held in /usr/var/adm/lmf.

You should be able to copy this directory to the new system.

I haven't got a V5.x machine to test on at the moment, but on 4.0D, you can find the checksums in /var/adm/lmf/ldb_history, with the strings command.

# strings /var/adm/lmf/ldb_history

What was wrong with _that_ suggestion?

If you make a copy of the license data base,
and do the "issue" from the copy, you won't
even bother the real license data base.

That sounds to me like the hard way.

reconstructed PAK to the file you specify in the file argument.

You can use the reconstructed PAK with the register - < file
command to transfer a license from one system to another.
