Solution
Hi,
it does not look like there is.
greetings,
Michael
Username
In Windows 2000, the Username is the user logon name. For SSO
it must meet two requirements; length and uniqueness. This also
applies to group names.
Windows 2000 can support very long user names although in
practice most users prefer short adaptations of their name and
initials, which are easier to remember and type. The maximum
length of the user name is determined by the current restriction to
eight characters in the UNIX environment.

Re: long username
Hi,
Check the sysconfigtab parameter called "login_name_max", setting a higher value should enable higher username length.
For details,
# man sys_attrs_generic
HTH,
Abdul.

Re: long username
Note however that support for long usernames was never fully completed. Therefore it may not do all you expect.
