mail returns

Hi,

we try to send a mail from domain xxxxxx.com to yyy.com. It passes the first mail server but the second mail server bounces it back with the attached error message. Someone says, I should change the host from xxxxxx.com to yyy.com but I can't believe that. What can be the reason?

thanks for any help,

Michael

Re: mail returns

I think that you should work with the remote sysadmin to troubleshoot this problem. I don't think that changing the domain should be the solution:

Bad destination system address:

The destination system specified in the address does not exist or is incapable of accepting mail. For Internet mail names, this means the address portion to the right of the "@" is invalid for mail. This code is only useful for permanent failures.

Have you asked to the remote admin why is rejecting your mail?

Re: mail returns

Hi Ivan,

the receiving domain is valid and can receive mail from windows. The mail server is in Prague so this is rather difficult to get help there.

thanks,

Michael
