Please check that maybe you have another domain using dsk30.
# ls -alR /etc/fdmns | grep dsk30
# ls -alR /etc/fdmns | grep test

Already checked that and no they're not being used already.

mkfdmn would also have complained about a partition already marked for use.
Can you please give us the disk model?
