pdntfs [] unable to RPC register tcp EVM entries

I seem to have run into the same problem Matthias Schmassmann reported a year ago or so (see subject line ... pdtfs unable...)
This happened after upgrading a ES40 to Tru64 5.1B-3 from 5.1B. I followed the thread and found that I probably did not configure the Advanced Printing Software correctly but quite frankly I never did configure it and also don't need it.
How can I properly unconfigure it so that it won't bother me when I restart the server ? Should I comment out the two lines in /etc/inetd.conf :
105005/1 stream rpc/tcp wait nobody /usr/pd/lib/pdntfs pdntfs
105004/1 dgram rpc/udp wait nobody /usr/sbin/rpc.pts rpc.pts
---
Perhaps I answered my question myself but this has been such a ordeal that I just have to ask.
Thanks for any insight you can provide.
Lothar Esser
P.S. at the time of the problem, "rpcinfo -p stokes" did not show entries for port 1133 and my entry in /etc/passwd for nobody was exactly the same as Matthias' :
nobody:*Nologin:65534:65534:anonymous NFS user:/:
nobodyV:*Nologin:60001:60001:anonymous SystemV.4 NFS user:/:

I for one don't see why this means that APSoftware was incorrectly configured.
