"Too many users"

"Too many users"

We have a 2 machines (DS10 AlphaServers) operating in a TruCluster. We moved a clustered application from one host to the other which seemed to work fine. Users began logging in until we hit 11 users. Users then received "Login failed: Too many users". When we kicked the application back to the original host, >11 users were able to login.

Thanks for any assistance.

Re: "Too many users"

On our one server we have "unlimited" for OSF-USR and OSF-SVR while the server we are having issues with shows only 10.

We would have applied a CSLG license update to the cluster but possibly only one host. Do we need to do this on both?

Thanks for your help.

Re: "Too many users"

Casey,

have a look at /var/adm/lmf where the license database is.
You will have to have a license for each cluster member.

Re: "Too many users"

Thanks very much Michael. The license databases are different on each host. We'll look to update the license file on the server giving us the problem.
