ra 3000 help for hp tru64 unix

i have ra 3000 raid controller, erlier one hdd say hat spare warning failure alarm and that time , i did clear the failure alarm, but after some time i got same, exit hdd from raid controller remaining hdd is showing offline, but before they were showing online.


reightnow i am creating new virtual disk through offlines hdd,i get error..

SUB:SUB:008:002.no such controller ,

pl anyone help me .

You probably should simply call support.

When you cleared the alarm (how? push button or software command?), did you actually do something to resolve the condition which triggered the alarm? Like replace a disk?

You need to talk to the HSZ22 component of the RA3000 through a direct connect serial line, or hszterm from Tru64.

Ask it how it feels!

Do the SHOW UNIT, SHOW FAILED, SHOW SPARE, SHOW THIS, SHOW OTHER and so on.

With that, build yourself a picture, of what should be there. Deal with the inconsistencies.

I'm sorry but I have no clue what that refers to. What exact command do you issue on which box? Is this a an ADD UNIT to an HSZ> prompt?
