root password lifetime has passed

I have a tru64 4.0G system that I can no
longer log into. When booting into single-user
mode, attempts to use passwd gives me "password not changed: password lifetime has passed". Does anyone have any ideas on how to correct this? Thanks!

Re: root password lifetime has passed

First run:

bcheckrc

Then run

usermod -x passwd_lifetime=0 root

Then run the passwd command.

I think Ivan would appreciate it if you assigned points to his response.
