smsd process
1- I would like to know the role of the smsd process under Tru64 Unix 5.1 (ES40 server );
It is consuming more than 30% of the CPU;
Can i terminate it.
2- How can i load "top" utlity on the above server.
Thanks and Regards
Roger

Re: smsd process
2. Uh, download the source kit and build it?
http://www.unixtop.org/
http://www.unixtop.org/download/
My Tru64 system is down at the moment, so I
can't immediately say which versions I've
been using.

Were there any instructions in that kit,
along with "top.c"?
Some days it's hard to know whether to laugh
or cry.
