telnet problem

After I installed the tru64 5.1b I can not access os from remote workstation using reflex or telnet tool.I have enter the license to the system.I try to modify the /etc/securettys file but failed.So anyone can help me?Thank you in advance!

check /etc/protocols permission, this is a known problem. Have a look into older articles here in the forum.

# ls -la /etc/protocols
-rwxr-xr-x bin bin /etc/protocols

Hi,

can you ping the remote workstation from the server?

have you tried traceroute?
