tru64 long usernames

I have increased login_name_max to 64
but still I can not create a username more than 8 characters.I use adduser and the accounts manager GUI.I use Tru64 v5.1b.
Which tool to use to create the long usernames?

I just tried and all user manipulation commands complains about username lenght.
Por que hacerlo dificil si es posible hacerlo facil? - Why do it the hard way, when you can do it the easy way?

As Han pointed out in the above-referenced thread, support for long usernames was never completed. The parameter login_name_max enables longer username support in the kernel only. However, none of the utilities that deal with usernames was modified to handle longer usernames.

Regrettably, there is simply no way to do it in Tru64 UNIX.
