What is the effect of having the soft coredump ulimit set to zero and the hard coredump ulimit set to unlimited?

Same as that for any other soft limit being
set lower than the corresponding hard limit?
I'd assume that the lower (soft) limit sets
the effective limit. You have any contrary
evidence?

Sorry, I hould have been clearer... Specifically I was asking about the zero setting. Does this inhibit creation of 'core' files?
