Re: unexpexted shutdown HP Alpha Server DS25

a couple of things.
1>what about temperature issue in datacenter.
2>did you do a complete system health check.
3>have u checked evm files.
4>Have u analysed errlog file

Best is to open a call with HP if u not able to detect anything.

Re: unexpexted shutdown HP Alpha Server DS25

OS version?
Patch level?
What applications?
Maybe you have hardware problem (memory).
Did not have much problem with DS25 machines, but when talking about alpha servers, most problems were memory related.
In vino veritas, in VMS cluster

It may be worth running sys_check > /tmp/sys_check.htm
& Read the output with Netscape.
This is very verbose output, but it may give you some clue.

Hello Abbas
>what about temperature issue in datacenter.
you may not be able to check it at the correct time , anyways temperature u can check by
#sysconfig -q envmon
2>did you do a complete system health check.
best way is sys_check as suggeted above.
3>have u checked evm files.
#evmshow /var/evm/evmlog/
4>Have u analysed errlog file
you need to have tool to read it..or open case to get it read by HP.
