vdump: device busy error
Hi All,
I am using vdump to do backup but recently I encounter a device busy error. I did not encounter this before until only recently.
>> /sbin/vdump -0 -v -u -U -C -D -f $tape /usr
vdump: can't open dev ; [16] Device busy
Hope to hear any reply from you soon.
Thanks.

Re: vdump: device busy error
Knowing nothing, I'd guess from that message
that the tape drive is busy. I'd assume that
fuser or lsof could tell you who's using it.
(In a pinch, "ps" might give you some hints.)
