Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems - Please Update Your Bookmarks
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.
If you have bookmarked forums or discussion boards in Servers and Operating Systems, we suggest you check and update them as needed.

# volrootmir -a rz1

Mirroring system disk rz0 to disk rz1.

This operation will destroy all contents on disk rz1.
The partition map from rz0 will be copied to rz1 and
all volumes associated with rz0 will be mirrored.

Do you want to continue with this operation? (y or n) y

Initializing rz1.

The current encapsulation/mirroring process uses a portion of swap
space on the system disk and its mirror to hold the private region.
The length of the swap volume (8380384) plus the length of the private
region (1024) is 8381408. The target swap partition rz1b (8380384) is
not large enough to hold swapvol and the private area.
To mirror the root disk you must increase the size of partition
rz1b by 1024 blocks before running volrootmir.

Could not set up rz1 for mirroring.

Re: volrootmir error

Do exactly what been told:
increase partition "b" for 1024 blocks and move "d" and "e" partition for 1024 blocks.
You can use GUI to edit label.
As I can see, you have enough free blocks to do it.
In vino veritas, in VMS cluster

Re: volrootmir error

whenever you are doing volrootmir /dev/dskX
dskX should not be labbled.
do just disklabel -z /dev/dskX
and volrootmir -a /dev/dskX
to mirror both usr and var.
