Hi guys i am asked sometimes in the interview do u know tru64 unix. And i sau no. But what is tru 64 unix. I am an hp-ux /linux admin. New to the field of unix. Thanks

I am TRU64 admin, as well as hp-ux /linux admin.
TRU64 is (was) unix with far best clustering solutions. And with really good file system type (advfs). Also has kernel level FC multipathing for years (HP-UX has it few months in 11.31).
But this OS is no longer under development. HP decided to kill it.
First, HP promised to port best TRU64 stuff (TRU cluster and advfs) to HP-UX.
But after some time HP said they would NOT do it.
I miss some features of TRU64 on HP-UX.
But it is how it is, bad guys often win in real world.

The Tru64 Web server still looks dead.
Clearly a high priority at HP. Perhaps it'll
improve after the weekend.
