Applying HPE patches for ESXi via esxcli
I've searched a while but I haven't found a valid way to install all driver and tools updates from HPE to an ESXi host via esxcli. For VMware itself it's rather easy because I can download the last offline bundle or download patches online from their repository. For HPE I would need to download about 25 offline bundles and install them all manually. I've read that you could point esxcli to on of the index.xml inside the vibsdepot:
esxcli software vib install -d .../index.xml
But I'm not sure a) wether one should point to the root index.xml or release index.xml and b) which index.xml to use (ecli,pcli,index.xml)...
Could someone give me the right commands to patch a host via esxcli?

Hello Regnor,
Please have a look at the link and refer page number 4, which is quite explanatory
https://support.hpe.com/hpsc/doc/public/display?docId=emr_na-a00046360en_us&docLocale=en_US
Also please refer the links for which series of the servers you are carrying out the activity
For pre-Gen9 see: http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/mapping/SPP-HPE_Custom-Image-vibsdepot-mapping-pre-Gen9.pdf
For Gen9 and newer see: http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/mapping/SPP-HPE_Custom-Image-vibsdepot-mapping-Gen9-later.pdf
