Clear WBEM Netwok alert from ESXI

I have a couple of vmic(s) not connected.
WBEM monitoring ESXI 4.0 is reporting this as a major condition.
In windows i would disable the NIC(s) and in ESX I would down it using ifconfig
Does anyone know a way of clearing it in ESXI

Use a loopback connector ;-)

I've asked my colleage to build some with the minimum amount of wires so that the NIC port only self-negotiates with 100 MBit. That helps to identify them clearly at any time and keeps of any alarms.
