Re: ESX3.5 vSwitch problem
Are you talking about a physical NIC or a virtual NIC?
How did you check if the OS (which one?) hung?
Did you connect to the VM's console?

Re: ESX3.5 vSwitch problem
Thank you for your reply.
I intended guest OS's NIC(virtual NIC) had had the problem after Virtual Connect restarted.
How did you check if the OS (which one?) hung?
Did you connect to the VM's console?
├в yes, I could check through console monitor and, couldn't check the connection of guestOS with ping command.
After all, the problem has resolved after ESX Server restart.
However, We don't understand why it needed restarting ESX Server.

Re: ESX3.5 vSwitch problem
I can't confirm this problem. Can you specify "hang"? Are the guests not reachable any more or is the VI client console not responding?
Best regards,
Patrick

Re: ESX3.5 vSwitch problem
I am sorry for my poor English..

We could use VI client console and, we couldn't connect external network with guest OS's I/F.
So, the service console was fine, otherwise, vSwitch didn't work, we thought.
