ESX4i on HP Blades PSOD Issue

Could you please advise how you roll the driver from ver 1.54 back to version 1.48 in ESXi 4.1 please. We are experiencing intermittent PSOD's and have been advised to roll back teh driver to 1.48 but am unsure of how to do this in esx4i

Re: ESX4i on HP Blades PSOD Issue

1) Copy driver bnx2x.o (v1.48) to /tmp on ESXi 4.1 Host (by using SCP)

2) Extract /bootbank/oem.tgz to /tmp/oem
/tmp/oem # tar xzvf /bootbank/oem.tgz

3) Copy the right driver-file "bnx2x.o" (v1.48) to /tmp/oem/usr/lib/vmware/vmkmod

4) Create a new "oem.tgz"
/tmp/oem # tar czvf /tmp/oem.tgz *

5) Safe /bootbank/oem.tgz

6) Copy the new modified "oem.tgz" to /bootbank

7) Reboot

8) Check the Version of the Driver in /var/log/messages look for bnx2x
