Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems - Please Update Your Bookmarks
Completed: a much simpler Servers and Operating Systems section of the Community. We combined many of the older boards, so you won't have to click through so many levels to get at the information you need. Check the consolidated boards here as many sub-forums are now single boards.

ESXi 4.1 HP DL360 G5 HP-SIM UUID ALL 0's

I have added a DL260 G5 running ESXi 4.1 to HP SIM 6.2 using WBEM. HPSIM is unable to retrieve the UUID or serial number from the server. I have installed the HP NMI Offline Bundle and the HP esxi 4.1uX bundle.
Any ideas on how to correct the problem. I have removed both offline bundles and re-installed.

Re: ESXi 4.1 HP DL360 G5 HP-SIM UUID ALL 0's

Hi there,

Please make sure server serial no and product no is correctly entered in the system bios.

check this thread for options

HP Systems Insight Manager and HP Insight Management Agents Version support using serial number and product ID number as identifiers to create the UUID.
