HP ESXi 3i, 3.5 & 4i Bundle - Cannot monitor Smart Array 6i

Problem: Cannot monitor local SCSI on DL 380 G4 server with HP Systems Insight Manager (HP SIM). Please see the attached .zip that contains screenshots of what HP SIM is showing.

Using HP SIM Version: 5.3 with SP1 - Windows, Build version: C.05.03.01.00

VMware Hypervisor Version(s): FREE ESX 3i, 3.5 & 4i
(Note: I am aware that the DL 380 G4 is not on the VMware HCL for 4i.)

The ISO image that I used for the 3i, 3.5 install is ESXi_HD_Image_Installer_535487_002.iso and the image for 4i is 4.1_U1_Feb_2011_ESXi_HD_USB_SDImgeInstlr_Z7550_00031.iso.

For 4i, I tried using the VMware CLI and installing the HP ESXi Offline Bundle for VMware ESXi 4.1 U1 (hp-esxi4.1uX-bundle-1.1.zip) but vihostupdate shows that it is already installed.

For 4i, I also tried patching the server using the VMware Host Update utility.

I also tried HP SIM version 6.2 - Windows, Build version C.06.02.00.00 and received the same result - no attached disk monitoring.

I have been searching and found many forums discussing this issue but could not find a definite resolution.

Is there anyway to monitor the FREE version of ESX 3i and/or 4i from HP SIM since SNMP and other software cannot be installed?
