HP SIM Agent installation on ESXi
Hi,
I have few HP ESX Servers and I need to discover all these servers in HP SIM.
Can anyone help me, step to step procedure of HP SIM Agent installation for ESX boxes.
I executed below command to check the software list of VIBs..
esxcli -s <server> -u root -p mypassword software vib list
please take a look on attachment and confirm whether it is right or wrong.
Thanks in Advance... Please help it little urgent..

Hello,
you do not need install sim agent on ESXi . It uses WBEM integration.

I'm geeting below error after added the HP servers successfully. Any Idea how to resolve this issue.

Event description: Insight Power Manager was unable to log in the system`s management processor due to incorrect or missing credentials. Please ensure correct credentials are entered on the Insight Power Manager options page.
Detail: Unable to log in to Management Processor 10.60.33.XX in server testserver due to incorrect or missing credentials. Please ensure correct credentials are entered.
These issue are coming from many servers.

Hi,
Please verify inside HP SIM under Options - Power Management that you added the credentials of the ILO in the list... HP SIM communicates via the ILO to collect power management information and needs credentials for that...

Bart,One small clarification i hope here its asking for client servers ILO credentials
But in my setup we have different-2 ILO credentials for all servers and in list option we have only 5 default username and password . How can i put for other servers.whether i need to change the password for all and put one common password or how can we go ahead...Thanks...

Hi,
Correct you can only add 5 credentials in that specific list.
So you will need to streamline your accounts from ILO to less than 5 or maybe implement AD integration or so?
In my case I have +500 servers where we use one specific service account for all ILO's...
