Simpler Navigation for Servers and Operating Systems

Proliant Virtualisation VMWare

I have Proliant ML 150 running CentOS (latest release) and VMWare Server.
I would like SBS 2003 Premium as the Guest OS, but installation does not complete due to "missing TCP/IP" networking. SBS fails to complete and complains it can't continue without configured TCP/IP and a working network adapter.
I tried loading winXP in another VM and it installs and runs fine.
What have I missed wih SBS 2003 Premium? Why can't it find its NIC card?

Re: Proliant Virtualisation VMWare

Do you have any NICs in Device Manager ?

SBS installs a regular Windows 2003 (R2) at first. At this point you need to install VMware tools before continuing with the SBS part.

Re: Proliant Virtualisation VMWare

Yes, seems that loading VMWare tools fixed that problem. now I get a little further.
Now fails on reading CD and loading "exchange".
Looks like some files are more than 9 levels deep (Help files).
Maybe I should create iso's from the original to overcome this one, other than not loading the help files.
