VMware ESX 5 Enterprice License & SLES
Hi there,
we brought recently VMw vSphere Ent+ Kt 6P 3yr9x5 E-LTU
so some kinda expensive Vmware licenses.
I read on vmware blogs that Vmware gives free SLES licenses when you brought VMware.
Check here: http://www.vmware.com/go/slesforvmware/check
(might need to login)
It seems licences aquired through HP do not qualify for this.
Is there any way to get this licences from HP?
Of did we just flush a lot of $$$ down the drain for "second grade" licences?

Re: VMware ESX 5 Enterprice License & SLES
Hello,
free Suse for VMware licence is offered for version stadard or higher. Your kit is pointed to SMB segment. But stil, you have the highest available Ent+ licence so I am really surprised vmware tools say you are not qualified.
My sugestion is to contact licencing support of vmware via myvmware and led them explain reasons. Maybe for small fee you can receive Suse lic...
By afraid with Suse free you do not get suse support! Only patch subsribtion is included - but still nice, we use it.
