vibsdepot for Gen9-later. I cannot find the custom image referenced on the my vmware download site.

Hi,

I am struggling to find the correct VMware download link for HPE Custom Image Identifier oem-build-650.U1.10.2.0-4240417 that is referenced in the http://vibsdepot.hpe.com/mapping/SPP-HPE_Custom-Image-vibsdepot-mapping-Gen9-later.pdf for VMware vSphere 6.5 U1

HPE Vibsdepot Gen9-later vSphere 6.5u1.JPG

Is the 4240417 a typo (it doesn't follow the usual numbering sequence) or has it been pulled/replaced?

The download for Gen9/later vSphere 6.5 U1 in Feb 2018 I can find is VMware-ESXi-6.5.0-Update1-7388607-HPE-650.U1.10.2.0.23-Feb2018.iso https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=OEM-ESXI65U1-HPE&productId=614

Can anyone throw any light on this for me. I am going round and round in google loops and it feels like groundhog day!

Cheers

M

Re: vibsdepot for Gen9-later. I cannot find the custom image referenced on the my vmware download si

If you follow your https://my.vmware.com/web/vmware/details?downloadGroup=OEM-ESXI65U1-HPE&productId=614 link and click on the "Read More" link under the...

HPE Custom Image for VMware ESXi 6.5 U1 Install CD
File size: 361.76 MB
File type: iso

... entry, the section should expand to show included components of the ISO. One of the components is "oem-build--650.U1.10.2.0-4240417--HPE--PartnerSupported--2017-05-10", which matches what you are looking for.

So I am pretty sure you have found the correct ISO

@upAndup448768 - Cheers for that. I cannot for the life of me understand why they would have done that! The HPE Custom Image Identifier is normally the filename on the MyVMware download site.

@HPE - Very confusing; you could do better!
