8200e CD Burner

I have XP. I need to update my drivers for this. I went to HP's driver database and found they have one that is for sale only on cd. I noticed that it was mainly for the usb. I also noticed that there were separate drivers for the usb. is the CD for purchase necissary? or can I just download the usb drivers and use them?....I dont mind purchasing the CD but HP doesnt take discover.
