CD-Writer Plus 7200i and DVD Drive

Does anyone know how to fix this problem. I Have a Compaq Presario and it came
with a DVD drive. I Installed a CD-Writer Plus 7200i Drive and software. The
both drives read and write fine but my DVD Movies will not work. If anyone has
any ideas please let me know.

Thank You,
JESSE

Re: CD-Writer Plus 7200i and DVD Drive

Jesse,

I do not believe this question is in the correct forum, or a problem with the
HP CD-RW+ that was installed, although its installation probably caused the
problem. Try the Compaq website to help troubleshoot the problem

However, I would recommend reinstalling the application that is used to watch
the DVD movies.

Good Luck!

The ASPI layer changes made by the CD Writer software may cause the DVD player
to not function correctly. Search your computer for the file "wnaspi32.dll". If
you find more then one of the files, rename all versions EXCEPT the one located
in the \windows\system folder. Reboot and test your DVD. If you continue to
have problems, download and install the ASPI update from Adaptec's web site.

http://www.adaptec.com/support/files/upgrades.html

Download the file "aspi32.exe" and run the update on your computer. Reboot your
computer after running the update.

If you continue to have problems, reinstall the DVD software.
