Cd-writer

I have a Cd Writer 7100 and I have installed the new Windows 2000 Professional
and when I connect the cd writer to computer, windows detect my cd writer and
ask me for drivers. I install the original driver and my computer, after reboot
stop, and fail.
What is the problem?
Please help me in this problem!

I have had the same problem (win 2000 pro crashed when I have tried to install the driver requested by the os)
Have you some news about it ?
