Extracting data from HP Optical Disks 5.2g

We have a Novell based SureStore Jukebox and recently purchased a 5200ex SureStore standalone to try to extract the data off the disks. It recognizes the 5200 but will not open the disk for viewing. What is the easiest way to extract data from the 5.2 HP Optical disks?
