HP DVD+R Double Layer DVD's

I bought some double layer dvd's and my hp dvd writer/cd writer combo won't recognize them. Or is it my software?

You need to have a Double-Layer DVD writer.

Check the technical specs of the HP writer you have to know if it supports DL DVDs.
