We would like to buy for our HP workstations DVD Writers with P-ATA (IDE) interfaces.
We don't know and is really difficult to decide if
Samsung SH-S222A/BEBE
or
LG GH22LP20?
What do you prefer generally LG or Samsung?

Re: HP workstations DVD Writers needed?
i would prefer the LG ( my personal opinion ),
but mostly the products are build in the same factory only the branch is changed.

Re: HP workstations DVD Writers needed?
I am using a SAMSUNG DVD burner and dont have any problems with that.
I have heard many people having good experiences with both Samsung & LG.
I would say 50:50 for Samsung Vs LG.
Also, Check if you can get any discounts from the price point of view.
That may help in our decision making :)
