Read Only

When I save a document in Word2002 on my pc using an internal 9500 series cd-writer with HP CD-Writer software and then try to open the file on my laptop using and external 8200E cd-writer (also Word2002) and the Record Now software, the file properties lock on read only and I am unable to change it or save the file. I have the same issue in reverse.
How can I transfer the file from my CD-RW on both systems with no properties set?

Re: Read Only

I doubt this will be possible with the hardware/software combination you mention. Best bet would be to copy the file to the hard disk, modify it, then copy it back to the CD using the utilities you mention.
Roxio has a free CD read/write utility that will let you access a CDRW using explorer. You can get it at roxio.com.
