Old school 5406ZL, recommended power 802.3 at
Hello,
I'm trying to deliver 802.3 at power to my Aruba AP-515 (Instant Access Points)
My old school switch, 5406ZL switch delivers 802.3 af
I upgraded one of the PoE modules which supports 802.3 at, changd the port 'AllocateBy: usage' set value to 33 W and bingo! it works.
I then upgraded the firmware on the 5406ZL switch from v15 to v16. In doing so the power negotiaiton has reverted back to 'af' and the access points are now offline.
Whatever I try, GUI or CLI I cannot change the AllocateBy from LLDP to Usage. (assuming this would fix it)
If I remove the access point from the switch the port changes back to usage. When I plug the device back in again it changed to LLDP.
I'm totally stuck, I don't know what to do.
Thanks for any help with this.
