Probook 6465b mouse not detected on boot,

Hi all,

Please excuse me if I am in the wrong area or ask a dumb question.

I have a Probook which displays the message "mouse not detected" during boot. Win10 boots and a usb mouse works, but the built-in mouse trackpad does not. Device manager reports the trackpad as present and driver and device working. I tried rolling back the driver and reinstall but no success. Seems a common problem with HP laptop but I have been directed to the business forum for a solution.

Thanks for any suggestions you may have?
