technical problem of laptop charging

Sir/madam, my laptop is hp Pavilion g6 2136tx.
Due to some reasons the laptop of mine is not charging when i am plugging in the adapter.
Neither there is any indication of charging.... As a orange/ red light glows when we connect the adapter but it is not glowing.
I have tested my adapter and it is verified that it is properly working.( from outside i took my adapter for test.he said that the adapter is fine. He also told that something error is there in the laptop switch or motherboard or fuse)... What to do sir/ madam. Please help me.
My adapter is LS-18

Yesterday the laptop was properly working but today above defined problem is faced by me...
