Cannot manually discover 2920 48 port PoE switch in PCM 3.10.201
I am having problems performing a manual discovery of my first 2920 switch in PCM 3.10.201
I have previously had no problems discovering any procurve switches from 2500 to 5400 but this is the first 2920 I have installed on our network.
The Manual discovery process for the 2920 stops at "Discovering device connections" and goes no further.
Is there something in the 2920 I need to configure to make it discoverable in PCM?
Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
P.S. This thread has been moved from Switches, Hubs, Modems (Legacy ITRC forum) to PCM. -HP Forum Moderator

Re: Cannot manually discover 2920 48 port PoE switch in PCM 3.10.201
Check the loging parameters (telnet/SSH ) & SNMP Parameters both of thoes parameters should same in Switch and PCM other than that you need to configure ip address ofPCM to send SNMP Trps from switch. Once you confgure above parameters correctly it must discover well.

Re: Cannot manually discover 2920 48 port PoE switch in PCM 3.10.201
Thanks for the reply, but still no success.
Both Read and Write community access is successful and unrestricted. I have the SNMP Server host configured in the switch as the PCM server.
I have double checked the configs on at least 4 other switches (2910al) that discover fine and the 2920 is identical to them.
I have configured 40 other switches with the same snmp config and they all work.
The discovery of the 2920 successfuly goes past discovering device info and then still continues to halt at discovering device connections.
its almost like PCM 3.10 does not seem to like the hardware config of the 2920.
Has anyone successfully performed a manual discover of a 2920 switch into PCM 3.10?
I have been using HP Switches and PCM for a very long time and this 2920 issue really has me stumped, so any further help would be greatly appreciated.
