HP Switch Stack node not showing
Hi,
I have over 70 devices now loaded into PCM + and working correctly, however i have just brought a site online which is running in a stack with one commander and 7 candidates. The commander switch has been added but according to the "Getting Started with PCM+" manual on page 2-33 i should now see a "HP Switch Stack node" being displayed in the same folder under the "Devices" folder. This is currently not showing.
Also when looking at the "Network Map" folder in the subnet it resides on (no other switches on this subnet) it is only showing the commander switch and not the candidates plus if i check the box to show "Stack/Team Name" nothing is being displayed.
Does anyone have any ideas what might be causing this ?
Thanks

Re: HP Switch Stack node not showing
There are a few different 2510 models, and they run different f/w (Q, U, Y), Could you please give me the J-number (model number)?
thanks.

Re: HP Switch Stack node not showing
Hi,
Apologies, the commander is a 2520G
This is the setup so far;
Commander = J9299A (J.14.01, ROM J.14.04)
Candidate 1 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 2 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 3 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 4 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 5 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 6 = J9138A (S.14.03, ROM S.14.03)
Candidate 7 = J9019A (Q.11.17, ROM Q.10.02)
Thanks

Re: HP Switch Stack node not showing
Stavros -
PCM does not map 'stack management' Members, including the Members in your example.
PCM maps the 'meshed stacking' switches, for example, the E3800.
These two types of stacking are very different, and PCM does not handle them the same way.
You will have to manage the 25XX stack Members through the Commander's UI.

Re: HP Switch Stack node not showing
Hi RalphB,
do you by chance know if this is the same issue in PCM 4? I've got a bunch of 2910al's and only the commanders show up.
Whats the difference between stack management and meshed stacking anyways?
