previously the license is updated,after reinstalling pcm i am facing this problem.

SolutionYou will notice in my.procurve your install ID's does not match your current install id.

: My server crashed and I had to replace the hardware. I tried to re-install the PCM software/license, but I get an error message stating, "the license is already in use or it exceeds the limit of one." How do I re-install the software after a hardware failure?
The license key is locked to an Installation ID. The Installation Identifier is obtained after the original installation takes place. It is unique to each install and must be reset if there is a change from the original hardware. This requires a call to ProCurve Support for the engineer to release the Installation Identifier from the original hardware, which will allow new hardware to be attached to the Installation Identifier.

And enter your "install ID" and "registeration ID" to get the license.

Hi Srinivasalu, Please would you be kind enough to confirm how i can chnage the installation ID? I have a similar situation whereby we have lost our old physical server (unrecoverable) hence i have downloaded the software from My HP website and have installed on a new VM 2008r2 but it wont let me use my existing licence key as the Install id is different.
Any Help would be greatly appreciated!!
