110 power for which HP 9000 Servers?

I'm looking for a list of HP 9000 Servers that run off of 110 power and not 220. Like the A class servers can run off of 110 volts.

Can an L Class run off of 110 also?

Need the list for all if possible.

Please include work stations.

Re: 110 power for which HP 9000 Servers?

All the way back to D-Class servers, the power supplies had auto sense power supplies.

My old D320 had a switch on the power supply which you could shift from 110 to 220 while the system was shut down.

I just looked at the back of my L2000 rp5450 servers. They too have auto sensing power supplies and can run off 110 or 220.

Choose the one you need and go through the specification below, check the power specification for Servers as well as Workstations:

Alien,

I think you'll have to go throught the specs for each one. You can start here for servers:

http://www.hp.com/products1/servers/mid_range/index.html

Then go here for workstations (which should all be 110, I would think!):

Mr. Randall, I pulled this up from the RP5400 URL and it looks like 110 will work.

AC Input Power
100-240V 50/60Hz

Maximum Current Requirements
13.8 Amps at 110V

Maximum Power Dissipation
1283 Watts

Mr. Protter, is this the auto sense you where talking about?

Re: 110 power for which HP 9000 Servers?

Alien,

Yes if you look carefully at the power supply, like I did, you will see the Voltage range.

The indication on those servers is auto sense. You should not switch the power source while its running, but that stamp clearly shows this power supply runs on either 110 or 220.

regards.

Re: 110 power for which HP 9000 Servers?

Ok - Question about not enough power now. Won't the PDU's pop (* those power strip things *) or the power module or server down itself if the draw is too great?
